Darren Rix – Managing Director
  Managing Director for Rix Group, Darren oversees all operations within the business as well as providing the group with strategic direction and motivation. Darren has been self employed for almost 20 years, starting his first business in 1993.  With a background in small business operations and past experience in operating service stations Darren purchased the Avis Ballarat Franchise in 1997, starting with a humble fleet of just 5 vehicles. Since 1997, Darren has been able to expand the Ballarat franchise into greater Western Victoria. We now have agencies in 10 other locations in Victoria spanning from Hamilton and Horsham out west, to Bendigo in the north and as far as Caroline Springs in the east, all offering the same great Avis service that we pride ourselves on in Ballarat.Alongside running the day to day operations at Rix Group, Darren is also on the board of the Avis Franchisees Association and a founding and current board member for the Ballan + District Community Bank.Darren maintains a strong connection to his local community and is the former U12 Coach and current Club President of local CHFL club Bungaree FNC. Darren was awarded life membership to the club in 2008.
 

Brad Gray – Fleet Manager 

  Brad joined Rix Group as the Fleet Manager in early 2007, after an 8 month stint as the Production Manager at I-Glass producing switchable glass.  Prior to that, Brad served 8 years in the Royal Australian Navy as a Communications & Information Systems Sailor.  His time in the Navy took him to many places around the world, and as such given him many experiences that many people never get exposure to. As the Fleet Manager of Avis, Brad is responsible for ensuring all vehicles that are booked are at the location ready for the customer.  He also has to make sure that all of the vehicles in the fleet are mechanically in good condition, as well as taking care of any damage that may have occurred with the vehicles. Brad loves the challenge of the fast paced and ever changing work environment that Avis presents, having to keep an eye on over 300 vehicles and 11 Avis agencies throughout Western Victoria.
 

Bruce Case – Duty Manager

  After 20 years in the Service Station industry, Bruce sought a new challenge and joined Rix Group as a ferry driver in 2002. Bruce spent three years in a full time position which involved cleaning cars and ferrying our cars to the various agencies before being offered the Duty Manager’s role in 2005, a position he still occupies today. Bruce’s role involves various tasks including maintaining up to date records of overdue and monthly rentals, as well as specializing the selling of our ex hire vehicles. Bruce strongly believes that the working environment at Rix Group is one of the best in Australia, with a great bunch of staff making things happen.
